FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS BY VENDORS:


1. How does Terracalla work?

Terracalla is an online global marketplace for select and quality products and services. Skilled artisans, providers of eco-friendly and organic products, and well-being services are connected to a global customer base. Each vendor can showcase their product(s) or service for sale, along with their ‘whole story’.


2. Who handles shipping?

Vendors are in charge of shipping directly to their customers. When vendors set up items in their account on Terracalla, vendors outline any additional shipping charges for each item. For example - International or expedited is extra.


3. How do I input my product(s) onto Terracalla?

Input of your product(s) and/or service is very easy. As a vendor you log in to your account, upload your picture(s) of all the items you wish to list, the prices and information about the product/service, along with your ‘story’. You can simply change graphics, prices and information from your account. *We are currently preparing an informational video that will guide you through this process easily.


4. What happens when I receive an order?

All orders are placed and processed through the Terracalla Order Management System. When an order is placed for an item you sell, the system will handle the payment from the buyer and send you an email immediately with the details of the order: the buyer's name, delivery address, the item(s)/service they have purchased and the shipping method they’ve selected. When you ship the order,  you must update the order status as "Shipped" using the Order Management System.  Once an order's status is updated to "Shipped", an email is automatically sent to notify the customer and Terracalla.


5. What are your fees and how do I get paid?

Terracalla collects all payments directly from each sale and charges a 15% commission fee for all sales. Upon confirmed shipping of an order, the 85% remainder of each sale will be paid to the vendor the following week within 7-10 working days.  (This allows time if there are any refunds or returns). *Effective February, 2012 there will be a $15.00 per month fee


6. Who are the Terracalla customers?

Our marketplace is global with traffic and customers from the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, UK, India and beyond.


7. How do returns or refunds work?

Vendors set their own policies regarding returns or refunds; however, Terracalla requests that all vendors offer a full refund if the customer requests one within seven days of receipt of the item and returns the product to the vendors in the same condition as it was sent out to the customer.


8. What kind of marketing do you do?

We do many forms of online marketing to promote our website such as Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Social Media Marketing on Facebook and Twitter, and email marketing. We are also active in online and offline PR.


9. Do I have to sign a contract?

There are no formal contracts to sign but as with most websites, you need to agree to our Terms of Use and Vendor’s Agreements.


10. What Currency is used on the Terracalla site?

All transactions, prices and fees on the site are in US Dollars.
