About the Authors:
Michael White - Creator of Aus IDentities™ - also author of 'Whose Who in the Classroom' and co-author of 'In Your Element'.
Michael is a personal and professional development trainer, motivational speaker, life coach, NLP practitioner and creator of Aus Identities™, an innovative approach to personality profiling that is currently changing the way people approach teaching and learning in Australian classrooms. He also runs educational programs throughout south-east Queensland where he lives, and has assisted literally thousands of people to improve the quality of their personal and professional lives.
Michael works with many business and corporate groups, specialising in the areas of leadership, team-building, communication and life balance, to name a few. He is regularly invited to participate in community events and presentations and is also in regular demand as a guest speaker, having worked with groups such as Rotary and the Lions Clubs, the Business Women’s Network, Global Success Community, ABC radio, and other community radio, where he is well known for his informative and often humorous and entertaining style of presentation.
Michael uses his extensive knowledge of personality differences to assist people of all ages, helping them to develop a greater appreciation and a deeper understanding of themselves. He finds working with the four historical temperaments to be particularly beneficial in his work, as it is a body of knowledge that appears to be readily accepted and embraced by the vast majority of participants, partly because of its solid, scientific background, but also because of its apparent simplicity.
He has developed a series of programs and resources that acknowledges four different approaches to life and learning and then helps us to work with these differences.
Aus Identities begins that journey by clearly identifying the four main personality types and their traits, using Australian Animals, illustrated in the form of Australian Aboriginal dot paintings to assist the children in their identification of self and others. It is a rich and colourful system which can be of great interest to young, inquiring and developing minds, not only because of its apparent simplicity, but because of the relevancy to their lives at this very important time in their own personal evolution.
Michael is passionate about sharing his insights into human behaviour and the way in which we communicate and interact with others. He believes that the benefits of understanding the values and core needs of our colleagues, children and significant others are immense. With this understanding we are able to communicate better and to appreciate other people’s points of view, thereby creating more harmonious relationships and better informed people. What a thought!
